  Economically it is downright stupid. Why would a country on the brink of... in Buenos Aires are generally nasty... so for a pleasant vacation go some place else and won't worry about any fees.

  I think you need to give a bit more information. Argentina is a huge country and prices will vary depending on area.... That goes for Buenos Aires too... it is a large city and different neighborhoods will have different price levels....

  Go and visit for 6 months or a year.. if you like it then you'll have had plenty of time to track down the info you... remember most of Argentina is NOT tropical and the southern areas make make you wish for a northern Canadian winter!...

  Not sure on the price of gas at this moment, but you can't compare price wise the bus and renting a car.

  A car will... for the weekend and another $100 for gas. When 500 km each way. The bus would have been about $6 per person each way....
